Moved to Self-Hosted Wordpress Blog

I have imported posts and comments from this blog into my new self-hosted Wordpress Blog,
Computers, Technology, and User Groups, and have been posting there since the end of October 2012.

Summary Of New Blog's Contents

This blog is a consolidation of my blogs for the Boca Raton Computer Society (BRCS), and the Broward Personal Computer Association (BPCA).  It contains information related to computers, technology, and user groups.
As the groups I belong to are primarily Microsoft Windows oriented, the main focus will be on Microsoft products. Occasionally, reference is made to Android, Apple, Linux, or some other technological products, in which case it is categorized as same.
Also, there will be posts directly related to the various computer/technology groups, again, these posts are categorized as such.

Invitation

Come on over and check out the new blog, rate and/or comment on the posts. The new blog can be found at http://ctublog.sefcug.com/ .
It is a work in progress, so I appreciate any feedback.

A List of Links for Learning

This was found via a public post on Google+ by Brad Aker 02OCT12 at 7:03 PM.

He linked to http://noexcuselist.com/.

This site says:

"The best place on the web to learn anything, free."

There are links to learning resources for:

  • Academics
  • Music
  • Programming
  • HowTo + DIY
  • eBooks
  • Cooking
  • Languages
  • Other

If you hover your mouse over the links, you can see comments about them.

I have not checked out every link myself, but the ones I have checked, are useful.

**********

If you are interested in learning, and you should be, check these out. Let me know what you think.

If you know of any other similar lists, let me know about them also.

I am always looking for places to learn new things.

Media_httpimgaskleome_wvrzf

This is a very informative article regarding what to do if your email account has been hacked.

I suggest that you print out and keep handy, because sooner or later you will probably need it.

I have subscribed to the Ask Leo! free newsletter for years, and typically find at least one item in each of particular interest.

A Week With Internet Explorer: Not the Browser You’ve Always Despised

Media_httpimggawkeras_jewee

An interesting opinion piece regarding Internet Explorer.

I don't use IE much myself anymore, but would be interested in hearing what others think about IE, and whether you use it exclusively and what alternatives you use if you don't.

I have been pretty much using Google Chrome, but have used Firefox, Opera, and a few others too.

Go ahead, click on the article link above, read it and let me know what you think.
